Mentorship Notes 1

(with Mitchell)

When Isaac was growing up he wanted to own a pet shop.

Now he is interested in being an Electrician. He worked with Electronics Lab kit when younger, it has inspired him to do more.

Culture
Isaac recognizes that electricians provide people with needs, like cooking and heating. "People need to keep the lights on". He also has an interest in and recognizes how electric cars contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable community. He is interested in learning electricity so he can fix electric issues around him and at home.

Resources
He would like to be connected to someone who works in the field, to take notes and learn directly. He has also visited APEX and is interested in enrolling in tech schools. He mentioned BURK as another tech school. We agreed that part of this program for him should include getting connected to specific opportunities with professionals and connecting to more information on programs that would work for him.

In mentors meeting we discussed the 'Alexor' tech program, as well as Solar One as programs that might work for Isaac. We mentioned connecting Isaac with Eagle Eye (someone who works in electrical who might be able to work one on one).

Mentorship Notes 2

We did a demo on soldering. We started with stripping and soldering just wires, then soldering wires to components (like switches and volume knobs).

As a Part 1 of constructing a Boombox circuit, Isaac will continue to soldering the needed wires to the physical components.

As a Part 2 of constructing the Boombox circuit, Isaac will then solder all of the wire leads from the physical components to their respective connections on the:
1) Bluetooth Circuit board
and
2) Stereo Amplifier Circuit board
